Abstracts Submission
Abstract submission deadline - 13 July 2012
Abstracts are solicited for short oral communications and poster presentations on the conference topics. Please submit abstracts using the Online Submission Form according to the abstract preparation guidelines.

- Global systems and complexity models
- Global and regional climate, uncertainty quantification
- Solar variability and Space Weather
- Weather, deep atmosphere, planetary boundary layer, air quality
- Ocean, anisotropy, eddy resolving computations
- Water Cycle, Glaciology, Ground Water flow
- Geology and Geomechanics
- Multiscale interactions, turbulence, extreme events, subgrid-scale parameterizations
All abstracts will be refereed acceptance/rejection of contributed papers as oral communication or poster will be made by 7 September 2012. Successfully submitted abstracts will be acknowledged with an electronic receipt including an abstract reference number, which should be quoted in all correspondence. Allow at least 2 hours for your receipt to be returned to you.

Topical Sessions |
| Proposal submission deadline - 25 May 2012 |
A topical session (TOPS) consists of four/five 25/20-minute presentations, with an additional five/four minutes for discussion after each presentation. If you are interested in submitting a prospective TOPS, organizers should submit a proposal consisting of a title, a description (not to exceed 100 words), and a list of speakers and titles of their presentations directly to the conference co-chairs, Annick Pouquet (pouquet@xxxxxxxx) and Piotr Smolarkiewicz (smolar@xxxxxxxx). Please complete the downloadable form. After a TOPS is accepted, each speaker should submit an abstract (not to exceed 150
words) using the appropriate entry for each Topical Session in the conference submission system. You will be sent a direct link to this.
Please do not submit to the regular abstract pool.
All TOPS proposals will be refereed by the scientific committee. The number of TOPS may be limited to optimize the parallelism in the conference sessions. To maintain balance with sessions consisting of usual contributed presentations, a single individual can organize only one topical session, and the proposals gathering presenters from the same organization are discouraged.
